NG+ freezes and crashes right after tutorial cutscene ends.

I finished the first round and started NG+ but the game freezes and crashes right after the cutscene where they're about to start "free combat training" (Geralt automatically skips the dialog option). I've tried verifying game caches, updating graphic drivers, lowering graphic settings, windowed/borderless/fullscreen, deleting the two user settings bak files, none of them work, please help.
"EDIT" Tried starting a brand new game and skipped the same spot and it was working...wierd...it's the same cutscene isn't it?

I am having this issue as well. can run Regular game just fine. when I start a NG + mine also freezes at a black screen at the end of the same cut scene when going into freeze training.

I have tried everything Lulala has done as well. I have been trying to fix this for a week and half now. I would really like to play new game plus please.

Have you tried deleting the DLC for new game plus and reacquiring it?

I eventually downloaded another endgame save file on a website and it worked without any issue, so it looks like my save file was corrupted somehow. RIP all my loot but at least I could start NG+

I've the same problem. And I solved it. I'm not sure if it'll work with yours but this is what I did:

Go into your inventory and check if there are any items that are 99999999. (Mine was Crow's eyes) I got 6 of them which are 9999999. Remove them by dropping. The game will freeze but do not close it. Let it load. After dropping, exit the inventory page then run away from the "drop zone". Your computer will freeze again when exiting the inventory page so do not worry.

After moving off to another place, REPEAT till you have no more 9999999 items in your inventory.

Once all are removed, save, then start a NG+. Hopefully this solves your problem. :D

Btw, my game is V1.31.

Thank you, I was surprised that worked. Guess it just took so long to render them it couldn't handle it.

I have the same problem, I finished the game and want to start ng+, but it crashes as soon as I click to start ng+, I have already tried the method above to drop some items that are bugged (9999+), but it was not solved, but there is one question, my game is crashing only when I use mods, it is vanilla ng+ working normally. I use mods only for graphical improvement, such as HD PROJECT and VLADMIR UI (and some more for lighting and texture quality in general) I have already tested uninstalling these mods one by one, but every time there is a mod installed, regardless of which one it is, the game crashes, I searched the internet, but I did not find anything that helped me, I tested downloading another save on the internet, and it worked correctly, but I do not want to lose my save that I spent hours farming my items, anyone who has already solved this error or gone through something similar to help me?
