Game freezes randomly
Hello everyone,

After playing The Witcher 3 on my Xbox years ago, I recently returned to the game on my gaming PC. I'm thoroughly enjoying it, even in 2025—what a masterpiece! However, my experience is being dampened by random freezes that occur without warning. The game freezes for roughly a minute, works fine for a few minutes, and then the issue repeats.

After some Googling, I found a few suggested solutions that I’ve already tried:

- Setting the frame rate to unlimited.
- Disabling DLSS frame generation in the display settings.
- Turning off Nvidia HairWorks.

I’m running a 4080 Super GPU and a Ryzen 7950X3D CPU, so I believe my hardware should be more than capable of handling the game smoothly.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!

U can go try the beta version of the game 1.32 i think. That should stop the freezings and them crashes.
could start at the basic
monitor=60hz
fps=60
resolution=1920x1080

and if that works, go faster hz,fps and bigger res
maybe there is a "sweet spot" for you hardware instead of unlimited everything
