Lost my old save

I'm currently having probmems with my The Witcher 3 save file. I have a new laptop now and decided to start playing from where I stopped, which was a save with over 150h. But then, once I launched the game there was only a "star new game", and no option to continue from where I stopped. I checked my steam cloud to see if there was anything in there, but it was also empty. So I'm currently lost, because Steam doesn't know what to do, I can't find any old files from the game, since I'm in a new device. I played the entire game with a cd project red account logged in, and with Steam cloud enabled, but my old save is nowhere to be found. Does anyone have any ideia what can I do?

hi, I have a problem with the witcher 3, for no apparent reason my saves have disappeared and now I only have those from 2022. The game hasn't been updated since I started this new game, and there hasn't been any other one change on the PC, even the saves have disappeared from the cloud. I play on steam how can I solve this problem? I lost hours and hours of gameplay.

many forum posts about lost saves for some users after a January steam client update.
maybe something happened again or something similar.

try looking in folder
...\steam\userdata\YourSteamID\292030\ac\WinMyDocuments\The Witcher 3\gamesaves

copy paste them back into
Documents/Witcher 3/gamesaves

if not there search your hard drives for files that end with
.sav .png
