Alternate sources of dimeritium?
I'm trying to craft a Grandmaster Wolven Steel Sword, and my main obstacle is the price of dimeritium ore for crafting Enhanced Dimeritium Plates. I know that I can find outcroppings of other metals in the various caves in the game, but is there any outcroppings if dimeritium in the game, particularly in Toussaint?

save up on dimeritium shackles, then dismantle them

dimeritium is easy to find as long as you loot as much as you can, the 2 things you will need for them but are orichalcum and acid extract, you will find some orichalcum but it's not nearly enough and acid extract is only available through the 3 weapon merchants in toussaint and through some monsters but there is also a bug that only gives acid from 1 kind of monster.

I'm worried about orichalcum or acid extract; I have plenty of supplies for that, or know where I can get more. My problem is related to getting the OTHER raw materials for enhanced dimeritium, due to the total cost of getting the raw materials gathered together while still ensuring I have the money to actually craft the weapon in the first place. Even dismantling dimeritium shackles costs money, so I'd rather avoid that if I can. That's why I asked if there's an alternate method.

no, all the dimeritium looted in the game is not enough, eventually you will have to dismantle stuff/buy dimeritium. Imagine, I'm finishing toussaint in game+ and the dimeritium was just enough for all the armours and swords, so, that's 2 gamethroughs for 1 set of armours lol. orichalcum can be found but still not enough and it is kinda expensive , had to buy a couple dozens for sure

Actually, it turns out that I DIDN'T have to buy any dimeritium or any of the raw materials for it. I had already resigned myself to having to pay for some dimeritium, but that's not what happened. While playing last night, I found a treasure chest that just happened to have one piece of dimeritium ore as part of its loot; this one piece was the only expensive thing I needed to get. So once I got it, I headed to LeFargue's shop in Beauclaire and made two pieces of enriched dimeritium ore, and then an enriched dimeritium ingot. I now have a Grandmaster Wolven Steel Sword, which was my endgoal for these purposes. Irony?
