https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/833016/geforce-700-600-series/gtx-780-possible-fail-as-performance-in-the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-/7/
There are cases that a GTX 960 is outperforming a GTX 780ti.
This news is frustrating as I own a GTX 770 and I get crashes running the new drivers, I had to rollback to an older version just so I stop crashing every 15 - 30 mins.
so the last game where I had this was Dying Light, which was also unplayable, but that company didn't gave up and after 5 months, they fixed it ...
so we could only hope that the Witcher developers are faster and also will not give up ...

I solved it now with OC the Voltage ...
to 1.09 V instead of 0.89 ...
as the chip is able to handle 1.12 V
Since that time it only crashes around every 10 h
So in my case it was the problem of PALIT as the setting in the BIOS of the GTX are wrong.
