How to use a torch

I'm in a cave. Dark as ♥♥♥♥. How in the world do you use the torch. I have it equipped in on of the pocket slots. Seriously, I'm on pc

im using 360 controller for pc. hold LB, choose torch from the bottom list, then press A. then simply press RB. thats all.

I really don't know, because I have not tried that yet..

But I think it is more easy to use the cat potion, because that let's your hands free for swords (very handy is there is something inside that cave).

Already know and have the torch in the Pocket, using a Keyboard not a controller and was a small dark area which I rather not use cat on.

Can any one tell people on the Keyboard how to use the Torch?

Make the Cat potion and drink it.

Equip in your pcoket. When you hold down tab to use signs its right below the signs. Equip it and press the middle button.

You select it in the quick menu circle where you select signs

Middle mouse button. It works like this. Anything you have set in the pocketed slots (bombs, magic lamp, torch) all of it needs to be selected first by hitting Tab, then use the Middle Mouse Button to use it.

Yeh I didnt realize how you had to use tab lol I was using my mouse wheel always to do sign changes

Open inventory (I) -> equip torch in slot, exit inventory -> open quickaccess menu (tab) -> move mouse towards torch and click -> exit quickaccess menu -> torch icon now appears in the lower left corner -> press middle mouse button -> step 4. ??? -> step 5. profit!

Pretty sure that works... I didn't even mess with the torch in my inventory (I bet it's there by default) and just middle-mouse-buttoned it.
