Graphics settings keep resetting
So my computer isn't strong enough to play this game smoothly at full graphical capability so I have to have everything at it's lowest setting and it runs fine, which I'm okay with. The problem is, whenever I take a break from the game and come back to it, the graphics settings reset to its default choices and I have to change them again to what I want. Is anyone else having this problem? Is it possibly because of my Nvidia graphics card? Please respond if you are having the same issue or know a solution.

I have this issue too, I've seen a possible solution of turning the cloud save off and not using the nvidia optimization thing, at least for me it didn't work at all. I'm waiting for a fix :(

I would assume, or at least hope, that there will be a patch for it soon. It's not TOO big of a deal, but it is annoying. Great game though. Lol

Dont have this issue, but try setting your graphics where you want them in game then alt-tab out and go to documents/witcher3 and right click on the file "User" then click properties then set to read only, click apply. This should lock you user setting file and not allow the game or cloud to make adjustments to it. Remember though if you ever want to change these setting you will need to go back and un check read only. Let me know if this works?

Huh, that did work. Thank you very much! I do have a question. In case I ever want make it go back the old way, all I would need to do is deselect read only, right?

Yup, just unclick read only if you ever want to make changes to your options in game. Thats the file that the game modifies when you change any in game settings, not only graphics but things like subtitles and I believe difficulty, does not affect save games You can go in and manually change things by opening with notepad or notepad++ too, so you can set things up to be between say medium and low, or between high/ultra etc.and really fine tune performance. You can even modify the values to play beyond the ultra setting or below low, which I do in less demanding games pretty often.

So has a better solution appeared recently? Or should I still just change the folder rights.

It seems to work now due to updates so you probably don't need to do the whole folder rights thing. Sorry for not updating on the situation.

I had the same issue before. What I found out is the documents that the settings were supposedly being saved to that directory was not there any more. So what I did was redirect my documents folder to a valid directory and it fixed the issue.
