You have to mix a swallow. And then give it to the herbalist. Just read the quest description (menu -> quests -> sidequests).

I didn't get that quest until after completing others, so just continue with your story. Before you leave the area check side quests, should have a swallow quest.

Like Apokalypt said, you have to make the potion. You needs a plant that is pretty easy to get, the drowner brains can be found From killing drowners, find them on coasts and the glass bottle thing Can be bought from the inn keeper lady from the begining

I visited that house after you get to other area, and she's gone, if you ask about Lena, girl will tell you she's been take by Nilfgaard, anyone know a follow up on that? I visited the Nilfgaard camp, but she's not there. [/quote]

The follow up is sadly awful, the swallow potion initially worked as intended, she was getting better, the person she was to meet on the night of the griffin attack brought her to a nearby village, and it appeared that all of her wounds had healed.... but the toxins of the swallow potion melted her mind... The cure itself, was worse than the disease. makes me feel awful for giving it to her... seriously heartbreaking. check quest log for the completed quest btw.

Not really... She would die. Yes now she has issues with memory like she doesnt know annyone or so... But she has atleast STILL CHANCE. Geralt said that he should take her to MAGE and that he might be able to help.

Wow, you are complaining about having to get the ingredients for the most basic potion in this game? You are in for it.

the way it says that her mind was melted, and the cure was worse than the disease makes it seem like there's no hope.
