You are correct! Changing the speaker settings does solve the problem for now. I went from 5.1 to Stereo and the audio dialogue is now working correctly.
Thanks!
Hope they release a fix soon.
On a side note, if anyone is using a Logitech Gaming Headset (G930 & G35) all they need to do is flip the toggle switch to stereo and back to 7.1 to fix the issue. This is a very common issue with these two headsets in multiple games. Thanks to crappy drivers by logitech.
In Windows go to your Sound settings in Control Panel and change it from there.
So this is how I fixed my problem and still being able to use 5.1. The way my speaker system is setup is I have a central connection (which is also my bass) that all my speakers connect to as well as the volume controller. There are 3 cables that you can connect to your computer a green one, black one and yellow one. Well in my case I can just hook up the Green one and get sound right away but it is only stereo, the black and yellow need to be hooked up in order to get surround sound and utilize all speakers and woofer. So I had everything all hooked back up properly and it still wasn't working, well come to find out there is a little button on my volume controller that says "Matrix" if this is on it overrides the computers control of the 5.1 setup allowing the control box to utilize all speakers for stereo sound. So the computer still thinks its using 5.1 but the other speakers are being used by the control box for other things, hence no sound. So turn the Matrix button off and let the computer handle the speakers.
As for changing from stereo to 5.1 or vise versa you can do that in the audio settings up your computer by either going to the control panel or by right clicking on the speaker (volume) icon on your start bar. Then clicking on Playback devices and configuring your speakers. Or if you have the Realtek HD Audio Manager app that I do, just use it.
Anyways that is what my problem was and how I solved it. I hope this helps someone in the future.
