How to transfer game from GOG.com to steam?

I'll take 100% DRM free any day of the week. You got lucky. I only grabbed the steam version cause it was a lot cheaper for a while.

Also GOG is part of CD Project and his former business.

GoG is the version to go, if available, no matter the game. Having a few drm-free games does wonders when your internet is down.

Is there a way to transfer your game files from the GOG Galaxy Directory to Steam? I've downloaded it on GOG and then someone gifted the game to me on steam, so I want to transfer it over.

Aren't they available for you already? The gamesaves go in a shared folder:
\Documents\The Witcher 3\gamesaves
