Is the collector's edition worth it?

I pre ordered it on Amazon but I haven't been charged yet since it didn't ship, but it's about $160 that's with tax and shipping included.

Comes with the Steelbook, Game, Medallion, Map, Art book, and Statue of Geralt fighting some kind of monster among other things.

While I am looking forward to the game, I already bought it on GOG for 1/10th the price of this.

So now i'm mostly wondering if it's worth it now. On one hand it's nice to have collectible items that are hard to find and will be great since this is apparently the last Witcher game.

On the other hand $160 is a lot for a bunch of limited stuff that don't necessarily add to the game itself.

Please help me decide.

I didn't, and wouldn't. I don't really believe in collecting material goods purely for collecting material goods.

I work at gamestop and my boss got me the statue as a birthday gift back in october. It is a beauty to look at next to my rig. IMO, the statue itself is worth it. jjust my 2 cents

...you know that Steam will probably be offering some pretty nice discounts on various games in a few months, right? I'd personally rather have more games than collectibles for one... or alternately a nice bottle of Scotch. You can get a Glenmorangie 18-yr for a fair bit less than $160.

I thought it looks a little tacky myself, but then it wasn't in a style i liked it's all down to taste in the end.

If you like the swag and think it's worth it get it, if not don't it wont add or take anything away from the game either way.

Real men drink Vodka. Get yourself a good Zubrowka which is much cheaper, A 1980 Zubrowka only cost you ~$61. And then use the rest of the money for something else more worthwise.

Collectors editions make me laugh, Everyone forgets about their game when the next big thing comes out.
