Can't draw from Places of Power.

This problem came about after the last patch.
Everytime I try to draw from a new place of power and gain an ability point, it doesn't work. I hold down the E button and wait, but nothing happens. I don't get the ability point, and I don't get the buff.

Anyone else having this problem, or know a fix? I'd appreciate the help.

I had that before just try it a couple of times and voila

Did you try to approach it from different side? Its buggy as hell, sometimes I dont get buff first time I hold the button, so I step to side a bit, try it again... nothing. Again, again, oh, finally worked!

Well - I always switch to walking mode, and face to the stone at the front where the glowing sign is, and walk towards it until I see the "E" flashing up. Then I press and hold "E". It never failed for me.

It is a bit finicky now. I have been able to draw by trying it multiple times, from different directions.

Try changing control to a different key

I had reassigned my interact button to my mouse. stopped working for place of power. If I set it back to E it works.

To draw from a place of power, you need to have the relevant Sign equipped. So for example, to draw from a yellow PoP, you need to equip Quen. Red: Igni, etc. So that is their game mechanic.

I have the same problem as well. But I accidentally found something that works; when you press E and geralt starts to kneel, move the mouse (camera) and position it so that you're looking behind (so essentially looking at geralt's face if he isn't kneeling). For some reason it always triggers the skill point when just straight up pressing E doesnt

My Problem was related to logitech mouse software. When I removed it, all was fine.

That can be possible. That software should be mapping buttons, but that seems not to work well with applications that "take over" the hardware and directly acessing it.

dude you're a lifesaver, 3 years later and it's still super finicky. this worked like a charm though. cheers

LOL years of playing this game and i was doing this the wrong way since the first time!
