Clearing craven Skjall's name
*spoilers* I did the part where Yen uses necromancy to get him to speak and he wants you to clear his name. I don't need a reward just want him to get his last wish. I probably just have to go where his old clan was

I did a search and found that when you get Ciri back you can give him a funeral. I have not found Ciri yet so maybe I will just wait tell later

It is a place to ask questions, I was explaining what part of the story I was in because some things are missable if you are at the wrong part of the story

Nope, you never clear his name. Ciri will throw a fit and punch people, but people still think of him as a coward. He did ran away from the Werewolf dude before he died.

It is actually sad that Skjall's name can not be cleared.
*SPOILER* The poor guy was actually brave by helping Ciri flee the Wild Hunt, thus saving his village from complete destruction. Then he showed again how brave he was by luring the Wild Hunt away from Ciri. And at the end accepted the village's judgement without a peep and tried to clear his name by facing the werewolf, again a brave descision.

After the burying Skjall, (or maybe this could work right after Geralt and Yennifer visit the garden) you can go to Larvik and find the Jarl called Donar an Hindar (the eldest Jarl) and talk to him about clearing his name. But sadly the old man will not listen to anything Geralt has to say and certainly will not clear his name. At least that's what I got for an answer.

I do think it's good lesson that not everything can or will be solved in life. especially for young american audience.

Years later...I thank you for how nice you are. I see a lot of times people get nasty about someone choosing to play a game the way they don't see fit.

Truth is the OP came on here and stated some observations but didn't really ask any questions so it seemed more like a blog than anything else. He may have known what he intended to say and ask but we're not mindreaders.

If you have played the game before then chances are you probably understand what they are trying to get help without ruining it for people who have yet to play it. And I will be honest. I didn't actually beat the game til a few months ago.

No I dont think they specifically put it in for americans. Still ime so far such kind of optimism everything can be solved's unique to people growing up in u.s. for better or worse. some problems just cant be solved and it doesnt hurt to realize that before turning adult.

And somehow you figure this turnout for American audiences was expressly put in there by some Polish developers so that we could learn a lesson? Do Americans have an exclusive when it comes to hoping that things are resolved in our lifetimes? Seriously? Was that called for?

You do get that the game was sold globally and yet you took this to be something expressly meant for Americans? Thanks a f*cking lot.

Wow...where did the anti-american hate come from? What did I say to make you angry? If I can help you I'd be happy to. But seriously why so vehemently anti-American?

If you need help ask...I'm not going to apologize for having a child and not being able to babysit everyone who needs a mom's attention. I have my own child. I can't pamper everyone who needs it.
