Triss and Yen Romance question *LITTLE TO NO SPOILERS PLEASE*

Im finishing up a few quests and contracts in Novigrad before I start the quest Now or Never. I'm just wondering if it's possible to tell Triss to stay but still romance Yen. Maybe some of you who've already have been through this part of the game could help me. Through some googling, I heard that you could get Triss to stay without saying you love her, have some fun in the lighthouse, and still romance Yen through a certain combination of dialogue options. What I know is that if you romance both you get a threesome scene and Geralt ends up forever alone. The key though that I've heard is that it's fine to do whatever you want with Triss as long as you only tell one of them that you love them. Can I get any confirmation on this?

Its not possible to have the lighthouse scene without "confessing your love" to triss. Still, you dont have to confess your love to see her again, she leavs for kovir but appears later on. Btw. Kaer Morhen is right next to Kovir not going to spoil anything more

You sure? According to the IGN guide I just found:

If, instead, he wants to leave the door open to love (but doesn't want to fully commit), he must make the following dialogue choices:

To Sigimund (before the Witch Hunter attack):
"What the hell're you talking about"

To Triss (As she's about to board the ship):
"Stay with me"
"Let's try again."

Chastise Sigimund instead of listening to his story.
Triss will be revealed to have stayed on the docks, interrupting the tale

I can't really test this out nor do I want to since by the time I meet Yen, I would have probably made a lot of progress.

I'm pretty sure thats the dialogue choice I did on my second playthru and I got the lightouse scene, but then I commited to yen. Got the "threesome" ending which leaves geralt alone. If you say "I love you" to triss I believe it has the same impact as "Let's try again"

I went with "Let's try again." and told Yen to GTFO and I ended up a loner in the end.
Though I didn't get to see Letho either although I did import a save were he lives. Maybe my files are all fuzzy or I absolutely needed those earrings.

It seems that choosing "Let's try again" was bugged in version 1.04. Dev stated that it should be fixed in the next patch (which we recieved three days ago). In the patch notes, there was no mention of the fix but if you read the last page of the thread there are some claims that although you still get the lighthouse scene, you still may have the possibility of romancing Yen.

Yeah this may be confirmation that the fix was secretly implemented into 1.05 or they just forgot to mention it in the patch notes. This takes a load off my shoulders. I really wanted to commit to Yen but I knew how much Triss cared for me and stuff and didn't want to just leave her hanging.

BTW you have to do the quest "fall of house reardon" to find Letho. Youll find the questgiver in the same town where you fight fishgulper in fists of fury.

Did you finish her quest pre 1.04 or post 1.04?

If you don't want to screw yourself and get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ronery Geralt ending, just choose one of 'em. Romancing both will, atm, cause trouble and grief.

You can risk it, but since the threesome scene is pretty much late game (and it only occurs if you romanced both), there's no way back, except if you want to replay the whole thing form your first romance decision.

You can diddle all the other female characters in the game, though. Don't matter. :D

I might just risk it considering that multiple people have had success with Yen if choosing the "Let's try again" option after the 1.05 patch. Like I stated before, I really like Triss and all because she really cares about Geralt but I don't wanna just leave her hanging which is why I wanna sort of "treat" her if you will. The problem is Yen is my cup of tea and I don't wanna end up with that ending like you said.

Just a quick question, did you say let's try again during 1.05 or 1.04?

For her to return to shore I believe at some point you have to refuse to listen to Sigi's story...Idk yet since I haven't started the quest. Just got this off of IGN.

Probably safer to just reload and say "I love you". That is actually what my strategy guide says.
