Spoilers: Vernossiel comes after Geralt/me for revenge?

I presume years later because dialogue in main quest makes it out to seem as though its been years since the early parts of act one up until nearing the end of act two(dont really pay attention to dates, if I even have them turned on during cutscenes); the little scoia'Tael group I ran across around level 9, I left them alone and now their leader is just now attacking me saying I betrayed her? Of course at this point I can vaporize her with 1 or 2 hits since I'm level 33 but whats the deal with this? I let her be.

She attacks you if you betrayed her whereabouts to the Redanian soldiers.

She's presumably the only survivor of her Scoiatel band.

Guess I was wrong. Early on I did whatever netted me the most exp while still being mostly aligned to good. Didnt think much of that minor quest, I'm impressed however that my decision from so long ago came back to haunt me. CD Projekt Red is amazing.

If you tell the guard (contract giver) nothing, you will receive no reward; if you tell the guard about the elves you get half of the reward (no gold, but the pass, if I remember correctly) If you betray her she will come after you at one of the main gates of Novigrad much later in the story. Luckily it is one of the gates that you travel very frequently so you won't miss it. When I fought her I literally killed her with one blow.
