Decompressing statuette

Is it possible to get other mages to decompress the statuettes that you collected? I got one but Triss is already gone and now I don't know what to do with it.

No, you're bumped. Triss will be back but she will not decompress them.

Triss and Yen can do it. Triss will also be able to do it much later in the game, but by then you are mostly outlevled to receive any xp.

yeah, that quest bugged out on me twice now. Firstly- I finished it without talking to Triss or consulting the trader (I had the figurines and I went to the razed manor, but later on the quest reappeared in my journal when I visited the same trader again, having completed the quest prior).. So the second time- later in the game I got two quests for two statuettes appear again, and when I asked Triss to proceed with them, we got bugged with no further dialogue... (

Only Triss can decompress Soldier and Nobleman statues. (if she can't, denote that it's bug.)
Nobleman statue quest can be started by go to the shop in Gildof and buy Jade Figurine.
Soldier staue quest can be started during the Zoltan quest. A Dangerous Game

Oh, and you must finish these quest before "Now or Never" quest.
If Triss leave Novigrad, quest will fail.

Alot of meta gaming required to complete quests in the game. How would I know that I need to go get these statues before help Triss? Unless I am meta gaming?

Like you do not know that around corner someone drop 100euro. You will find it or not. Just like that.

Perhaps it does not fail because there could still be a chance to complete this quest in act 3 (after returning to Novigrad from Bald Mountain), if it was not broken. Apparently, people have problems with it in 1.07 even before Now or Never.

Yeah problem is it doesn't fail when she leaves Novigrad. It remains active. Triss turns up later at Kaer Morhen and in Skellige but the option to talk about the statuette never appears so the darn thing is bugged. If you don't manage to do it while in Novigrad, you'll never complete it.

I definitely completed the Soldier statuette much later on in the game, unless it was bugged in a recent patch.

I've never finished this quest, I talked to Triss in Dandelions inn after completeing her quest line and saving members of the lodge. Triss takes me to a secluded house or shop and then nothing happens, she won't decompress the statues nor are there related dialog options, or cutscenes.

It is.
I done that quest on 1.06 and on second game cutscenes did not appear in 1.07

I completed the nobleman earlier in the game, and I just joined up with Phillipa and it added both the nobleman and the soldier quests back to my queue. When I talk to Triss, she takes me to the secluded location, but then doesn't do anything.

These quests are broken if done at this point in the game. They need to be completed earlier, for example when "A matter of life and death" is added to the journal, but you did not actually begin it yet.

The quest is still broken. No one did anything about it 🤷 Some will now forever be a figurine 🤷
