Troll livers

Need these.. but have been a softy when it comes to trolls..
Any locations where I can find aggressive trolls?

I don't want the answer given to me so I follow no links but I have the same problem^
I don't kill trollololses that I don't have to yet I need a cave troll liver for a blade oil -_-
Either I run into it along the way or I'll have to go without.

In Velen north east of the main Nilfgaard camp there is a sign post labeled Crossroads. Near that is a bandit camp by a bridge. A rabid troll spawns there.

The Blood and Wine DLC makes at least one Cave Troll Liver available. A Guarded Treasure is the closest Marked location due westward of the northern edge of the wall around Castel Ravello Vineyard. Guarding this particular treasure is one Rabid Rock Troll, which dropped a Cave Troll Liver after I killed it. As always, you should save before fighting the troll, just in case it doesn't drop the liver the first time you kill it.

Two more Rabid Cave Trolls that both drop Cave Troll Livers are in a Hidden Treasure marked location, on the unnamed bridge east of Plegmund's Bridge.

I'm on version 1.3 with no expansions. I downloaded it fully patched so not sure what patch version. Chasing down Scavenger Hunt: Bear School Upgrade Diagrams - Part 1. For the boots diagram, it sends you to a cave in the Skellige main island, NW of Kaer Muire and NNW of Holmstein's Port. Also just NW of a Place of Power. In the cave I found 3 cave trolls who attack you on sight. Got livers from all three on my first try.

Hell yeah! Found them. Thank you very much for the information.I'm playing the GOTY edition. It is still a valid information. Also it seems those trolls are related to an easteregg and called the "farting troll" or so on the net. I also got the livers and the troll mutagen first try, but i recommend a save before entering
