Why choosing Yennefer over Triss is the right choice
First of all I want to clarify that I have never read any of the Witcher books. I was leaning towards Triss at first too since I have been with her throughout all the games, and anyway who can refuse a sweet redhead, right? But I thought about some of the arguments people have been making and about what we learn during the games, and now I realize Yennefer is the only right choice.

And without thinking too much about it Triss does seem like the better choice. She is more caring and lively, in contrast to the cool and somewhat colder Yennefer. Some would also argue that she is slightly more attractive physically, but I find them about the same. Anyway, I want to say that this is a bad reason to go with Triss.

First of all, and most importantly, Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri are a FAMILY. Going with Triss is tearing apart this family, and in my view is completely messed up and simply tragic. Even Triss recognizes this and tries to put her relationship with Geralt in the past during The Witcher 3. For example, when she is about to head off on the boat and you ask her to stay, she will initially say that they had their run together but they should put it in the past. To me, this point alone makes Yennefer the obvious choice, and the other points just further strengthen the choice.

In addition, I would say the reason Yennefer may seem cold has to do with how she has known Geralt for such a long time now. Would you be any different if you have been with someone a long time? Ask yourself this question. It does not imply that she does not care about Geralt, just that they know each other so well they don't have to ask about everything. To me, breaking away from Yennefer just because she seems cold is an incredibly silly reason and is highly inconsiderate of Ciri. Also, another thing that may make Yennefer seem cold is that she is more mature compared to Triss, which makes sense because she is actually hundreds of years older.

Finally, three more points to consider are the facts that Yennefer is willing to die for Geralt, Triss tricked Geralt into persuing a relationship with her, and Geralt and Yennefer are tied together by fate (meaning even if you go with Triss who knows what kind of strange tragedy may happen to bring Geralt and Yennefer back together again).

Good points, sure. But then again, considering Ciri endings, that family was more important in books, then it is now.
And also, don't know about you, but when I make a choise, especially about something more personal, I'm not trying to be rassional through and through, don't like it that way, so "she is more caring and lively" is a valid point for me, thus my mastah Gervant.

In addition, Yennefer isn't so cold because of the time they've spent toghether, but because of who she is, because of her personality. It doesn't make her bad, only look bad. And again, I don't like cold and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ppl, funny and lively is more of my type, thus for my mastah Gervant.

And finally, does they really tied together by fate? Or by mr. genie? I mean, if by fate, what's the point of Yen's personal quest?

Still think one of my favorite parts of the game so far is when I told Yenn I no longer loved her. Definately worth the price of admission.

Yeah, was forced to do the same after already commiting to Triss 100 Hours before... And well it's her fault not mine, she wanted to bother with that Djinn, not my Problem if the Djinn messed Things up, lol!

I just refuse to play with any of them. They get really pizzed, it's funny. The blonde pretty much told me to f*** off after I refused to go for a ride and dinner with her, lol.

I'm on a killin rampage, no time for silly romance crap.

The worst thing in the game so far is that a stupid horse kicked me and I couldn't kill the beast. I wanted to cut out his liver and eat it raw.

There is also the fact that Yenn and Triss were best Friends, Geralt was with Yenn while they were friends, Geralt loses his memory, Yenn dissapears, and Triss, who is still well aware of all of this, jumps onto Geralt's lap. Yes, I adore Triss, but that's just ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

-spoiler- Ciri leaves Geralt no matter the ending, so there is really no point in not choosing Triss if you like her ... it is a matter of preference and yennefer is the cannon choice, if you want to keep the game in line with books, but the games are not cannon, so there is really no point in trying to turn people to Yennefer if they like Triss, its up to anyone how he likes to play the game .. I love Triss, always disliked Yen, even tho I read some of the books
