Really stupid move
I mean if you're seriously going about eliminating an exploit, you don't introduce a monster that can itself be farmed, and you don't announce it as the 'Bovine Defence Force'.
I did and still do think it's a genius piece of humour ^_^
How so? If you are able to handle that, money should no longer be an issue to begin with (which is the exploit in case, cow hide for cash, at low level)
I'm level 35 and money is an issue. If you've never exploited and reached higher levels you'll notice you have a short supply of coin due to mastercrafted armour being so expensive, Crafting full master Ursine armour and weapons drained my coin and since I have finished all Witcher Contracts (The most lucrative type of quest) this little "fix" really helps me out with funds to complete my second set of master gear.
If you're trying to build all mastercrafted sets, then I could see it getting costly (not having materials on hand).
I was using relic gear, I had to craft up from standard Ursine to master and it drained the 12k that I had, when you reach master level there are materials required you can't buy, you are required to unlock the master alchemist to teach you how to make them and the materials to make them are also expensive. This is my experience from the Ursine Armour anyways so I expect it to be the same with the other sets.
I got literally drained of my funds making the master armour and weapons and have no real way to make much coin...until these chorts that is. 10 chorts hides are worth 2.5k if you can find a vendor that will give you the best price (most likely the master alchemist) lol
Exactly. It was my own mistake that lost me a lot of gold sure but now with very little ways to earn a decent amount of gold to be able to craft the other sets I was totally screwed but since these Chorts appear I can now gain decent gold.
If you need rare materials just pop into afew peoples houses, it's amazing what some peasants have stashed away.
