Main Storyline too short ?
I've managed, in a 4 day "marathon" (10 hours per day), finish the main storyline. In these 40 hours, i was watching all the cinematics, and i did like enough side missions in order to level up so i can catch up the story without trouble (i started on "story and sword" mode but i quick changed to the next harder level). Of course, if i want to continue playing i can finish much more secondary missions, but seems kinda pointless (and i am in a bad mood to continue, since main story ended so fast).

I dont really see people mention it, and i wonder, am i alone on this ? i mean, last quests had a suggested lvl 30+ to not having big trouble (i am 32 now), if i had more of the side quests ended, well, it would have been kinda bad to be 40 lvl over 30 lvl enemies.

For those who will tell me to play the game on dark hard, well, i would but i wasnt so excited with the combats so i didnt want to ruin my experience with long "clicking" combats.

Im writting these, because i was prepared for the largest open world game, which apparently isnt..... I mean, seriously, Skyrim (what else?) had a really larger world to act in, even if it was worse overall...

Reminds me a bit of DA:I. Other than all the other things wrong with that game, the one thing I never heard anyone mention was the horrendously short main storyline. It's a bit dissapointing that rpgs are starting to use subquests to pad the main content and make the game seem longer.

You ruined the game for yourself...well done. Whoever told you to rush through the game through the main questline. :conwayfacepalm:

actually skyrim itself is smaller, if you take all zones together the witcher 3 got allmost twice the world to travel around on, and 40 hours is a long main storyline in a open world rpg, had it been a linier rpg 40 hours would have been the entire game + side missions, you still got about 40-50 hours or side missions to do so if you wish to experience all a open world has to offer go out there and find it.

i myself is 45'ish hours into it, barely lvl 20 and proberly half way through the main storyline but have explored the world alot and done tons of side missions becorse thats what open world is about, the world.

They pretty much paid full price for the game only to play a small little portion of the game then start crying about it due to their level of incompetence.

^ I'm pretty sure Skyrim is larger overall, you gotta account for more than just landscape. Skyrim does have a bunch of giant, underground dungeons ya know! Also the rough terrain creates the illusion of a larger world, which is just as important. That and TW3 map doesn't actually show the borders, so it makes the map seem bigger than it really is also.

Chill out mate. I will finish every single last mission (just, not right away). Also, i will expecting the expansions. Im just saying, that the main story seemed to end really really quick.

And i repeat myself, if i did much more side missions than those i already done, it would have huge level difference and impact on the main storyline since the last quests are "demanding" a 30+ level character, not a 50 level one.

And with this addicting storyline, how the hell do they expect me not to proceed on it ?

(ps. be kind, as i am. )

My main problem with storyline isn't it's length, instead I found myself wanting more interaction with not just Yen and Triss, but really pretty much any of the main characters.

I just wanted the relationships in general to feel more weighty.

Hey it's the same price for other games with 6-8h of campain content, also skyrim isn't bigger than this and last, secondary quest always have been a big part of rpgs and since you compared to skyrim, skyrim main quest line is shorter than this

I agree.

This game was supposed to replace the horror that is my life. Not just distract me for a few days.

The main story in DA:I was quite lengthy overall though, and quite a bit longer than W3's main story.

I just wanted to see the opinions of other players.

Maybe i was too excited on the main story... ♥♥♥♥ happens

It would be perfect if it had some online battle arena ! To see whos Gerart is more ... vicious.

The obvious counter to that is quality of content.

Witcher 3's main story drags the player in with depth, characters that pull a Mass Effect on you and make you fall in love. Whereas DA felt more like a single player mmo at times.
