Not that I've noticed but there are whales, they're extremely elusive though. I managed to dive down and barely see the tail disappear in the depths. But I don't think there's any huge sea monster, I kinda doubt the engine would even be able to handle it, seeing as the whales seem to be some sort of environment animation rather than actual entities. I could easily be wrong but that's my guess.

The whale? I doubt it would even be hit. I've noticed sometimes when just loading in or far off in the distance, the whale animation can get jumpy or stuck for a few seconds, not unlike a tree which the game is unsure is within view or not. They probably don't have a collision model either.

The whale can swallow you, and you end up like Pinocchio and you gota use igni to get out, after you use igni you burst out of the wale and you see Cthulhu infront of you in the depths, after that prepare to have nightmares...

Nope. Whale is just one of decorative creature that you can't really fight, and the only monsters you'll come across in the sea are varients of harpy and siren.

I wish they would add more monsters.

In one of the notes dropped by pirate in Skellige, it mentions them sacrificing people to summon the Ancient Ones, and below that is the famous Cthulhu script. So maybe Cthulhu exists in Witcher 3.

As said, the whale is just a graphic that plays in certain areas, like the random birds that occasionally fly into the ground or inside a lighthouse. Once you go underwater, you wont see anything there, and the LOD for it is pretty weird in how often it will just freeze.

Hi Omnia,did u really see the Cthulhu after get out of the whale?I love to see the huge sea monster,i brought this game because i saw they have some of sea monster in the a physical map...but this game is amazing and hope they add it in the DLC
