Locked Chest in Drudge?

I stumbled upon a locked chest in an abandoned village named Drudge but can't find a key, anyone know if this is a quest i haven't gotten yet?

If you Take the road leading north of Drudge you will find a Friendly dog fighting wolfs once you kill the wolfs he will lead you back to the house with the Chest and you can unlock it

I did that road up and down multiple times, no such dog

Bit of a necropost, but keep following the road for a while until you reach a shrine. The dog is fighting the wolves in front of it.

It's quite possible, the game has a number of similar really small "quests" that you can only come across if you actually travel/take the roads to places (and possibly certain conditions are met, like is it day or night).

u can either travel the road north then west from the village or go directly north west to find the shrine with the dog fighting wolves, follow the dog back to the village along the road and fight the 3 bandits b4 entering the house to open the chest
