I have the saem problem. Video stops but audio dialogs between Geralt and the witch continues. Then, after a while, the game exits without giving any sign of the issue.

So, I got away with this. I changed video setting from "full size window" to "full screen". I also turned on Nvidia HairWorks, but I don't think that is relevant.

I've had the same problem. So far nothing I tried has worked. Patch 1.05 seems to have made it worse because now I can't hear the dialogue behind the screen freeze. Did any of you guys find any other ways to ignore this bug and continue the quest along?

I've had the same problem. I fixed by changind from "borderless window" to 'full scream". Some guys say it has something to do with changing the "maximun frames per second" from unlimited to 60. Sorry for the english. I hope it helps.

You also are required to turn OFF V-Sync. I tried your method with no results, until I turned V-Sync off. No more crash.

Was having the same problem. After going through the portal and the cut scene starting it would crash as they were talking. I found a post where someone changed PhsyX to CPU instead of Auto. I made the same change and it the game works perfectly. I am using 353.06 drivers for a GTX 870m

Just adding my two cents. All I did was change "borderless window" to "full screen" and not only did it fix the problem but it seemed to make the whole cut scene more fluid.

Happend to me once... I got a blue screen form some reason... Well, after rebooting it worked just fine. Though maybe my GPU overheated or something but no... Well under 80 degrees...

Switching PhsyX setting in Graphic card setting from 'Auto' to 'CPU' totally works! although u might want to change it back to 'Auto' again for best performance in other games..
