[FIXED]Keira Metz 2Hot2Handle
So I have officially run into an issue on my save file. I'm at the witch quest where you meet Keira Metz in her Grotto and the cutscene begins just fine, riiiight up until she gets out of the bath and faces Geralt. The screen freezes with her facing Geralt but the conversation still continues, I can still let it play out, or skip it, and I can even select options and responses, just cant see what I'm doing. After a moment or two, Witcher 3 just closes, no bug report, no "Program is Not Responding," just boop! Done.

Anyone else facing this pesky little bug? Or am I just doomed to never progress past that part of the game?

Have you tried verifying the game's files with Steam? Updated GPU drivers? Tried lowering graphic settings?

Yes, yes, and yes. The only thing I can think of is to try tweaking with in game stuff. Maybe if Geralt approaches Keira in his undies with no Subtitles, her lady boner for him will kick the game into gear.

You using an XBox 360 controller? Have you tried turning off vibration? I don't know, turning off that thing fixed all my crashes.

Try tweaking settings. Also try tweaking her nipples.

I have exactly the same problem. Game freezes, I can still hear them speaking, I can even continue the conversation pressing 1,2, 3 on the keyboard. Tried lowering the settings to the minimum. Newest drivers , etc. Dunno what to do now.
(I have the game licensed and installed via GOG Galaxy).

Someone was asking about this yesterday too. I think it might be something that came in with the last patch, I didn't have any bother with it on release day but it froze up when I got there again on a new game with version 1.04 and I couldn't get past it.

I just ran the verify function and it worked first time afterwards, but since the OP already tried that I don't know if I just got lucky or he's very unlucky :P The only other thing I did was to lower the FPS limiter to 30 (since I was getting noticable "spiking" in denser populated areas since the last patch and new Nvidia drivers).

OK, what worked for me:

I've set all the graphic settings to the lowest possible. Disabled VSync and set the game to run in Full Screen.

NEXT, very important: Disabled all the post processing (they have a separate Tab for that) and set everything there to the lowest possible too. That did the thing.

Try 2 decrease your gpu core with 3rd Partystuff.
It worked 4 me, give it a try

Same thing happened to me, at the same spot. The witch gets out of the bath, it freezes, but they keep talking. I did the verify, and it didn't work. I've done the cut sceen about 5 or 6 times now. No mods. Drivers up to date. Downloaded the nvidia patch a day or two ago.

...BEING NAKED WORKED!!!! Took all of Geralt's clothes off, approached Kiera, cut scene ran flawlessly....

Realistically it was probably verifying the cache, adjusting the settings, and turning off subtitles, BUT MY WAY IS FUNNIER TOO!.

Hahaha, I'll remember taking off all of Geralt's clothes if I run into issues like this.

Had the same problem. Only setting fps limit to 30 did the trick for me.

I can confirm that Chris's solution (post #7) worked for me.

Post #7 Worked for me too. Thanks Chris!

So none of these fixes worked for me. But I did notice while I was in windowed mode that I was getting "Graphics Driver has stopped working but has been restarted successfully" message from my systray. From there I rolled back my display driver to the previous version (NVIDIA Gforce 765m V. 9.18.13.5306) and THIS fixed the issue. Hope that helps.
