Edit: That being said OP, I'm in the mid to late game right now, and there's something hilarious or tongue-in-cheek just about every other quest. I love it; they make their medieval setting feel so modern and witty-hip, all without electricity. I think the dialogue is consistently amazing, and it makes me smile.
To be honest, while some of that stuff is worth a chuckle here and there, I'm actually starting to get annoyed by how hostile all these guys are with each other. I mean can't they just have an adult conversation FFS?
It was just annoying after a while.
Seriously I did because the game was so immersive I thought they'd kill me if I didn't.
I think most people are sarcastic towards Geralt and him to them because witchers are abhorred by most and Geralt really has that sly and dark humor in him on the witcher games. I also met people where Geralt wasn't sarcastic, like the dressmaker elf. That person really caught Geralt off-guard it's so funny.
I also hate Dykstra so much. Man, you just can't get one normal conversation with that guy. He's so annoying.
hahaha
"Maybe he's with his sister"
"You do realise he doesn't have a sister, right?"
"Sure he does! I saw her with my own eyes. Funny, she doesn't look anything like him. Must have different fathers"
"Different mothers too"
The writers did a great job of turning this minor book goon into a compelling mover-and-shaker of this game's plot.
