Rediculous gwen unfairnes
Theres a regular trader in the town named Oreton, no name, no one special. He has THREE different hero cards two or three spies, anlong with some other stupidity for a regular npc. Anyone else run into this problem?

I'm sporting 2 hero cards, 3 pairs of cards get stronger with doubles,2 spies, 2 reviving cards, with misc 5+ value cards.

I beat the Baron, Haddy, Boatmaker, all flawlessly. This little ♥♥♥♥♥ is a REGULAR TRADER in a hic town.

Turns out, when a lowly peasant has nothing but time on his hands, he can amass quite the deck......

Gwent's ridiculously easy. It's not even remotely unfair. Closest I've come to an "unfair" deck is in the gwent tournament and I still beat it by knowing how to actually play the game.

If you're getting crap for draws, just forfeit and start again. If you have spy cards you should already know how to beat every single gwent NPC.

The hic town part is the problem. I'm stuck living in one myself, and you'd be surprised how many of those degenerates are pro-level MtG players. It's mostly due to them having nothing better to do in the area than inbreeding and pre-marital sex/children or drugs.

Who knows? Maybe he came across a traveling chest that was dropped along the roadside and the deck was a professionals set? Use your imagination.

People have premarital sex with children while on drugs? Dude! Not cool!

I agree with this. But there is this one Innkeeper in Skellige, no name, doesn't have a hero card to give you, but when you play him he has ALL of the main characters in his deck. Triss, Yenn, Geralt, etc. etc. I got close a couple times but he whooped my ass good.

It's the same town where you do the mission with Crach's daughter where you have to help the possessed Jarl.

There's another npc like this somewhere in skellige :p he was actually the first to pose any real threat because he has almost the exact same deck as me and luck was on his side twice in a row. The northern realm decks with all spies and heros are incredibly strong. Build one without any special cards, just heros, 4spies, 2 medics (one's a hero) full up with tight bonds and 2 trebuchet worth 6 points. Oh and villentretenmerth with the close combat scorch. :p

Discard 2 non spies at all times so you have 12 cards drawn at the start. Discarded cards go to the bottom of your deck. Now pray you get more or all spies at start. In a perfect starting hand you'll have drawn through 12 cards and draw 8 more using the spies, then on a round win you draw number 21 which is the first card you discarded at the start. Could throw a horn in there they usually do more good than harm just slightly less chance you'll get all your spies. The less cards in your deck the more chance you get all 4 of them and when you do it's pretty much game over.

They need to add, or someone should try to make a mod; Being able to kn ow your opponents' gwent deck total strength would be nice. Not all of their cards, just some sort of general forewarning of their ACTUAL skill level.
