Zireael Armor
Did I just get a crazy rare drop? I don't see anything about this armor online or on the forums. I got it from the archgriffin thats the target of the lvl 35 monster contract in eastern Velen.

Lvl 18 required (lol?)
Heavy
125 armor
5.8 stone
40 percent resist piercing
30 percent resist bludgeoning
100 percent resist to bleed
40 percent resist slash
25 percent resist damage from monsters
3 sockets

Very nice heavy armor with a low weight. Similar to Hindersfjall heavy armor but only a third of the weight. Very nice looking too. Shades of light blue with bronze metal reinforcement.

125 armor isn't particularly high. The mastercrafted witcher chest pieces all have 190, even the feline/griffin as light/medium.
Named after Ciri.

So yeah, probably an armor worthy of an ultimate badass. My guess, is it's one of the best in the game.

I wonder how armor equates to high damage reduction percentages. For example, how much armor equals what damage reduction?
Also, any idea if monsters do a particular damage type depending on the monster? i.e. werewolves slashing or elementals bludgeoning? Or are those damage types only for humans and monsters do monster damage?

Armor could probably use some testing. I hoarde a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of crafting mats so I may end up doing some once I finish the game.

I'm not entirely sure if monsters vary between slash/pierce/blunt. I'd assume so, but since there's an entire stat dedicated to reducing damage from monsters (you see it on medium armor a lot), maybe not.
i like light armor better tbh.......i use my spells alot and i like having it available asap

The lvl 18 requirement on it is sure nice though. I'm level 26 now so I've got a ways to go for master crafted stuff. It doesn't have the damage boost that feline set has, but the defense is nice. I'm not sure if there are any fights that have a lot of bleeds, but could be worth saving for that situation as well.

I found a receipt that had a level-req of 34...looking forward to test that out...in around 100h's ;p
I have this too. Dropped in the same place.
Ah and that one is only a lvl 14 requirement.

I have found it in 3 places, one from a merchant and the other from loot. Not witcher gear though so I didn't bother with it.

I just used the Mastercrafted Ursine set, since it was the best set around. Haven't found any armor that requires levels beyond 30, some silver swords only. Which is rather weird

ive got 2 Sword recipes (42+43/44) and 2 armor for around 37-40, but nothing that gets close to max lvl yet, maybe well see more with expansions.
