[SPOILERS] Impossible to complete objective ?
In "A Poet Under Pressure", how can you complete this optional objective ?

I saw on the website the full list of objectives.

Meet Zoltan at the site of the ambush.
- (Optional) Ask Dijkstra for help rescuing Dandelion.
- Use your Witcher Senses to pick up the trail.
- Ask if anyone from camp has seen Dandelion's abductor.
- Explore the area in front of the hut in the woods.
- Enter the halflings' home via the secret passage.
- Free Dandelion.
- Defeat the witch hunter.
- Untie Dandelion.

I never got this side objective:
- - (Optional) Ask Dijkstra for help rescuing Dandelion.

However if I look at the quest after completing it, it will mark this objective as failed.

I would assume you have to visit his bathhouse before you go meet Zoltan.

He is not offering that option.

You can't go to the bathhouse before you go to the spot where Zoltan's ambush is being set? Or have you already gone there?

I went to talk to Dijkstra and he is not offering to help although I can free Dandelion at the Ambush.

Then I assume there are pre-requisites you have to meet leading up to the quest that you didn't do. If that's the case, there's nothing you can do.

I am just wondering what the pre-requisites are.

No idea. There's probably a guide out there somewhere. If in the Count Reuvens Treasure Quest you talk to menge when you see him instead of killing him and don't burn down the witch hunters fort, he'll be nicer to you later with a quest. Maybe that effects it? I never did that optional objective, so I don't know.

Did you do the dijkstra side quests? Maybe you need to help him before he helps you? Sry, can't remember what I did on that quest really.

I assume you have to do them to get his help. After all, he is not a generous man.

It won't show up on the map. It didn't for me. Go back to the baths and talk to him. You'll have the option there.

Maybe it is a little bit late. ^-^
You have to ask Menge about the Treasure. Menge will tell you where it is. Then you can ask Dijkstra for help. :)

( sry for my bad english ... :D )

I did all that and still nothing ... Sad that it's still bugged after a year. Very sad ...

It's not so much bugged as it's what others have said here. While "open world" and all that crap, the game is quite linear when it comes to quests and contracts. Doing things out of a specific order that can sometimes be figured out but other times is only known to God and whoever the hell coded it, no matter what you do, things can get bugged because something was done out of order and it failed to trigger an internal flag.

So it's not something that really can be fixed without rewriting whole portions of the game code -- which I would not recommend holding your breath to happen -- or figuring out the order of things to do and on your next playthrough be meticulous about how you proceed.

I've done six complete playthroughs of the game and several partials and I never had any problem with asking Dijkstra for help (he always loans me some of his men). But then I'm pretty OCD about clearin out my Journal when quests pop up and not leaving them for later. I hate starting a quest and leaving it to go do 15 other things and then coming back and being surprised that something got broken along the way.

I know CDPR and how they code their game. I know better than to tempt fate. If something going okay, I continue until it's done. I don't procrastinate and hope for the best later on. Or wonder what went wronge when I know I've had a hand in it.
You know some people have a job and not enough time to complete 6 times The Witcher :D
