Game refuses to stay in fullscreen mode and can't alt/tab out.

As the title says every time I set the game to full screen mode it says "are you sure you want these settings?" I confirm it and every time it just reverts back to whatever the default is. It's quite annoying. Also can't seem to alt/tab out anymore. It'll show what other things I have open, but won't actually switch to them. Any fix to this?

ive had this ever since the last update and ive yet to get anyone helpful, let alone a fix

To force it on, go to My Documents\The Witcher 3\user.settings, and change [Viewport].FullScreenMode to 2. Save, then right-click on the file and set it to read only.

ALT-TAB is also no longer working for me in Full Screen Mode, but CTRL-ALT-DELETE\Start Task Manager gets me back to the desktop, and ALT-TAB works after that (though possibly because the game is back to borderless window mode at that point).

If you're like me and playing with a gamepad (Xbox controlller), I fixed this issue by using the mouse at the title screen to change the display to fullscreen. It would always revert back to borderless window if I tried to change the display mode with my Xbox controller.
