Obtaining Ekimmara Hide

Can anyone tell me how to get more Ekimmara hides? I can't find any vendors that sell it or respawning noonwraiths. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kill Enkimmara, there are more on Skellige.

Can you give me any locations where they respawn? I haven't found any respawn locations on Skellige.

you wont get enough, i did all contracts , still need like 6 more, and you only get 1 per witcher contract

This is why this game needs random encounters. I've only seen Katakans in Skellige and they don't drop Ekimarra hides. Once you kill all the Ekimarra's and use the hides your pretty much screwed.

i believe you can get 4 on velen/novigrad. Im currently on Skellige, i hope there are some on there. i had to resort to using console commands to obtain them.

As you surpass level 30, the contract and dungeon monsters like noonwraiths, werewolves, and ekimarras start to spawn randomly in the world. I regularly get attacked by forktails, night/noonwraiths, etc. Just gotta get lucky and have an ekimarra attack me, cave troll too.
Really silly how ekimarra hides and cave troll livers are ingredients in like 75% of the high level oils.

I think the Ekimmara Hide/Cave Troll liver bottleneck was designed to have the player make long term choices with oil/alchemy investments, as I never could find enough Ekimmara hides to finish out my oils. I did manage to get together enough Cave Troll livers.

As far as I can tell, Alchemy can't be finished, or they did a damn good job hiding Ekimmara spawns. It never bothered me too much, though, as I went with a sign build anyhow.

Can you give any locations where you remember being attacked by ekimarras? I've found a few katakans, but they don't drop what I need.

If only Lambert and Eskel should be available as monster part merchants that would be great. Make the ingredients very expensive so no buying all at once and having instant superior everything. Farming nekkar hearts, ekimmara hides and dark essence from nightwaiths gave me the most trouble my first play through.

There is this one cave that involves the Cat witcher gear that has an Ekimmara in it on Velen. There's also a contract for one in Novigrad.

During "Following the thread" contract, just before you meet Lambert, L21
