Obtaining Light Essence?

Does anyone know where I can get light essence? I can't find any vendors that sell it or any respawning noonwraiths. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can get light essence from noon wraith, while dark essence from nighwraith.

just head to the geralt marker, noonwraith will be there during the day, while a nighwraith during the night (or 12am if it doesnt appear before that)

There is definitely a noonwraith there but I couldn't get it to respawn. For anyone else searching there's another noonwraith as part of a hidden treasure quest directly west of Fyke Isle near a place of power on the coast.

There's a level 14 noonwraith as part of another Guarded Treasure in Velen, northwest of the Coast of Wrecks road marker.

I got them to re-spawn by just travelling to another zone, then travelling back again. Any zone will do, but I used Vizima, loads faster. This currently works on v1.6

for those having trouble, you can farm both the night and noon wraiths by meditation to their respective times( I.e meditate to 12 noon for the noonwraith and 12 midnight for the nightwraith)

but they don't seem to respawn while Geralt is in the field

how is it an exploit when it's a natural respawn, it isn't always guarantee to spawn the wraith and you can't be near the area to do it?

Meditating until the right time for something to spawn isn't an exploit. That's what meditation is for. Passing game-time to the time you want it.
