Roach won't sprint
He's only galloping. This is really annoying. And Geralt can still sprint

Happened to me when I've got zerrikanian saddlebags with limit of 100. Got my old saddlebags with a limit of 70 and could sprint again.

Roach's AI is somehow problematic or stupid, it will stop sprinting with on reason even on a main road...and horse races are really annoying.

Sorry for the bump, but hopefully I can help someone else out someday:
Read a fix on another off-steam thread. Pull out a sword and put it away and you should be able to have Roach start sprinting again. Can confirm that this worked for me

Confirmed this worked for me too. I could instantly tell it was going to work because in the bottom right corner it shows keybinds for the different horse abilities. Before I drew a sword it was only canter, and after it showed everything, including galloping.

When Roach won't run, Geralt won't dive inside the water, just quit to menu and come back. This will fix most problems.
