Carnal Sins quest discussion....
So, do I need say SPOILERS? From here on out?

For those of you who have done this quest however, you know what its like. I for one enjoyed it quite a bit and even found the "reveal" at the end of the quest interesting but upon thinking about it further I found the quest not to make sense.

It goes fine until the actual Murderer who in this case is the Coroner himself actually basically tells you who his next "victim" is with the name on a piece of human skin parchment in a "new victim" in the morgue. What I don't understand is how did he make it to the Vegelbud residence before you? Do Higher Vampires have teleportation abilities? Why did he even give you that kind of lead to begin with? Then when you go "almost catch him" he gives you a false lead to Nathaniel the Reverend when ironically that probably should of been what was written on the parchment in the morgue......that whole convoluted bit bugged me a bit.....

I enjoyed the quest and all but found that annoying.....anyone else notice this or possibly have a explanation for it?

Oh, he was a vampire? Thanks for clearing that out xD.
When I saw him and killed him I was like "ok...but...why did he vanish when we were pursuing him and how did he leap that wall..."
Did you not finish the questline and fight him where he even says pointblank hes a higher vampire?
Didn't even know a higher vampire was responsible for the murders until this post. I just straight up and killed the coroner, lol.
What? he says he is a higher vampire? No way...all I remember is walking in catch him with the poker going all psycho bonkers and then I killed him.
ohhhh ♥♥♥♥. You guys got fooled. Thats Nathaniel The Reverend not the coroner......I still killed him but hes not the Vampire......he sent you to nathaniel to trick you. You have to choose the calmer decisions first to talk to Nathaniel to find that out tho. you can still choose to kill him afterwords.
I don't remember anything or who those people were xD. I got inside, the guy was gonna kill her, i killed him and the quest ended.
Nobody suspected it was to easy and it did not matched with the supernatural things?
I did thats why I at first didn't knee jerk attack Nathaniel and got him talking.....then he told me that only one person knew where he would be....then I attacked Nathaniel and killed him for torturing that woman.

From there Nathaniel had said the Coroner was going to the docks to get more formaldhyde and you have a fight with a Higher Vampire go goes into his bat form ^_^.
Another aspect of this series that I love. You've to pay attention! :D
I do like this quest a lot due to many people not getting to face the higher vampire and it's plan working out. Nice to see this amount of effort being put into side-quests and having players actions really affect their experience.
For those of you who did see it to the end. What of what I spoke of? Did it seem a bit odd that the actual Killer sent you to the place you run off to and somehow makes it there before you still? I didn't understand that.
I just assumed that because he's an old higher vampire, he's capable of super speed (Or flight in his bat form). Didn't really give it much thought, if I'm being honest.
Yeah. I guess thats a possibility Quintus. But I just found it odd...seemed like he could of totally fooled you first by first sending you to Nathaniel to begin with.
True. I did wonder at the names of the next victim being left to be found, almost like his pride, his... hubris made him want a confrontation. The chance to make his hunters chase around in a panic, and then the chance to be able to tell them why he did what he did. That big speech he gives you when you catch him at the dock, about humanity's sins and how the church was right, yadda yadda. You see murder mystery films and novels with similar villains in them.
Yeah also you do spend some time with the house guards and then talking to the daughter prior to getting into the room. I just assumed a time lapse omitted from the cut-scene.

I think I also used fast travel to get to the estate so really didn't notice it.
