That's pretty weird, W1 affected W2, and Thaler's situation from W1 affected if you'd hear from him in 2 or not, so I just assumed that since W2 registers what happened to Thaler that would carry over to W3 from 2.
EDIT: Jesus did I write that stupid confusing, but you get what I mean.
Mind ♥♥♥♥ lol but I got it .. I just think he's not dead no matter the save there
Huh weird... Would still like to hear from someone who played all the way from W1 and had Thaler die.
It's just weird to imagine someone playing W2 and hearing how Thaler died in 1 for him, and then seeing him again in Witcher 3 :P
Hehe, I have played from the first game, imported my save with Thaler alive to tw2 and imported my save from tw2 to tw3 .. but yea, would be nice to hear it from someone who has dead Thaler in tw1
Well the choices for ending in tw3 don't really matter, because when you end the game free roam takes place before the final chapter. At least if we saw the consequences and could talk about them with some chars
I like there are some throwbacks like with Shani, and obviously Letho and stuff. But what really annoys me is that they literally ignore the whole Iorveth and Saskia side of Witcher 2, I don't think they even mention that. Hell, even Roche is barely mentioned as to what he and Geralt did in Witcher 2. He seems seriously stale and uninterested in Witcher 3.
But he has a vital role in one of the sidequests in Witcher 3. You should check out if you did the quest "A Deadly Plot", and if you did and Thaler didn't appear, I'm curious as to how that worked.
On another note, the gwent quest for old acquintances also uses him in Witcher 3, and it's a unique card.
Roche has big role in quests deadly plot and reason of state, you can also finish his quest eye for eye and is even in one main mission quest .. at least something.
What I meant is he doesn't refference what happened in Witcher 2, which is annoying. One sentance about if you went with him or Iorveth would have been nice, and not much to ask, but he literally ignores Witcher 2. I mean, I suppose it's better than not even getting a mention like Iorveth, but it's still a bit of a dissapointment.
