Igni crappy? Best signs for Death March?
Just respecced and I have about 34 skill points and I was wondering what are some of the staple signs to use for combat? Igni seems VERY weak even with 180% intensity and just hits for pitiful damage against lower level enemies, am I missing something? Or even with that and Aard I can't knock higher level enemies down or do much.

I daresay Igni is a bit overpowered, actually. It's an AOE that is also a DOT and disable for crowd control. Obviously, fire resistance vary from one monster to the other but even to monsters resistant to fire damage, the AOE disable alone makes it worth it for me.

quen normal + alternate for immortality, igni alternate for tons of dmg, axii alternate vs pack of monsters, yrden if u dont have axii and wanna kill them faster using your sword instead of waiting axii do the job and aard vs flying and humanoids for insta kill

Yrden + Igni makes pretty much every fight a joke on DM. I'm thinking of switching away from a sign build because it makes the game too easy on DM.

yes it does, change to a full melee or alchemy for a more challenging playthrough, and u will be wearing one of the best looking sets of the game =D ursine is beautiful and feline is cool

I don't get how you guys are saying Igni is strong, it's incredibly weak for me at around 200ish intensity. Yrden is nice but doesn't seem to do much more than how I was using it without being a sign build.

cause igni depends on your enemy type..u cant think u will hit 1k on an armored bandit ..

Not much more challenging though, I usually run full blind into horde of green enemy with Decoction + Potion on and doesn't care about dodge, since my Vitality stealing and Slow Motion from ability/potion ensure most of the time Geralt can interrupt/kill enemy before they counter.
if you get "melt armor" Igni can be very usefull VS armored humans and humanoids

Upgraded Yrden traps and slowly kill anything. Get your mutagen bonus as high as you can.

What are the "best" signs to upgrade/focus on then? Trying to avoid the useless ones. And fun fact for the Aard 2ndary you don't need to have it equipped for it to work...
