Novigrad entry problem
Im running into an issue where even though I've gotten the pass into Novigrad from the counterfeiter I still cant go in. The guards just never act like anythings different. any ideas?

Maybe cause they know it's counterfeit...

Strange, i had the same after a while but then someone walked in and said "psst hey let him in it's ok, here are the Papers for him" and the Dude then said to me "Greetings from <forgot name>..."

isn't there a pass for crossing the pontar and one for getting into the city?

i never needed one for the City until after the Triss Quest with the Mages, then suddenly i was not able to enter, but then after a while chatting with the Guards and asking them how to get a Pass the above happened...

Also the Guard listed so many Things i must do to get that Pass that i thinked for myself OMG WTH because it was like

"Ok, you need to climb that Mountain, then kill that Monster and then bring something there, then burning something and also visit the great sage and convince him that you are valid and he then give you a paper that you then bring to the Inquisitor for checking and if this is ok then you go to that and that Guy and he will then sign the Paper which you then also bring back to another Dude and is everything is in order you then can go to that Guy that perhaps gives you the Paper if you also pay enough Money ad infinitum"

So i was very very happy that that Guy came and said "psst hey let him in it's ok, here are the Papers for him" LOL! so i think this is scripted somehow...

ok so what triggers the scripted event then? when I bought counterfeit papers they didnt seem to know i had even done that let alone be aware that the papers were counterfeit.

There is more than just one pass you can obtain to get by the guards.

I just swam across the water , the guards were after me but once in the city I was fine .
