Alternate Axii not working?
I unlocked and equipped the alternate Axii skill which lets you make an opponent into an ally.
The game's tutorial said that in order to activate alternate signs, I have to hold Q.
Outside of combat, it seems to work fine, I can see Geralt charging up the Axii and then shoots it. However when in combat and I hold Q, it just does the basic Axii sign that stuns opponents. Tried against monsters, humans...
Anyone else having this problem? Am I supposed to be doing something differently?

you are doing it right.. do you see the colour on the enemy chhange from red to yellow ? It means he is now your ally..

yeah, I know, but when I hold Q, it just shoots out the Axii straight away, resulting in stunning them instead of making them my ally. This is just the strangest thing.

For me when I hold Q.. he does a long as$ animation and shoots the axi at the enemy.. Did you equip the alternate sign into your slot ?? I know you said that you tried it outside combat but I can't see any other problem over here

It seems to work perfectly when I equip the Puppet skill alone. This issue occurs when Delusion and Puppet are equipped at the same time.

I have them both equipped as well.. no issues here.. Dont know why you are facing this issue

Same problem here. Sometimes it does work though. Maybe it's based on chance ?

" I have managed to solve this for myself on the PC. It now works! I can have puppet and delusion at the same time.
To fix this:
Navigate to your folder: C:\Users<User Name>\Documents\The Witcher 3
Open the file "input.settings"
Find all the entries for "IK_Q=(Action=CastSignHold,State=Duration,IdleTime =0.2)"
Change the entry to have an IdleTime of 0.01. So after your change it should look like this:
"IK_Q=(Action=CastSignHold,State=Duration,IdleTime =0.01)"
There are multiple entries of this setting, so you will have to change them all.
I didn't test it with other signs as this is a universal change to all alternate sign modes. But I am just happy to be able to use puppet and delusion at the same time now. It was driving me crazy to have to choose between them."

Try this? it worked for me :)

Nevermind I got it working, but I had to change toe delay to 0.3 instead of 0.1 so if anyone still has the issue after changing it try that

Had the same issue. Removing Delusion fixed it.
Thanks

Thats not really a fix though.. thats avoiding the issue... follow the steps me and Triplight have said and you can have both equipped at the same time.. If you do, try 0.3 first as 0.1 doesnt seem to work anymore..

for the "IK_Q=(Action=CastSignHold,State=Duration,IdleTime =0.2)" u have to remove the space before the last "=" sign due to file changes.

use this: IK_Q=(Action=CastSignHold,State=Duration,IdleTime=0.2)
