Crossbow bolts

So I'm not able to use split bolts but what makes them so special? Precision bolts do way more damage but they have the lowest level requirement and I don't notice split bolts hitting more than one enemy at a time :\ I do see split bolts firing what looks to be three at a time. Perhaps the enemies need to be tightly grouped?

Am i the only one havin problems targetting the crossbow correctly ? wish i could use it like a bow without using the middle mouse button to shoot which makes the use very sluggish and unprecise??

Cross bows are good for 2 things.
1. Killing deer for food
2. Killing downers underwater (oneshotkill)

Cross bows are good for 2 things.
1. Killing deer for food
2. Killing downers underwater (oneshotkill)

Try using igni or Aard on groups of deer. You'll never crossbow another animal again.

seriously they gotta buff crossbow to make it useful. How about MUCH MUCH more DMG but longer reload time?

You gotta get to them and stay close enough to hit them with those signs first. Crossbow is far easier since you can stand a ways back and hit them since they aren't trying to run from you.

Broadhead Bolts are pretty win for insta bleeding effect. I havn't gotten to explosive bolts yet, but I'm sure they will cause a burning effect. Thats the only real value I see in them, other than the underwater and aerial defense.

I found the crossbow much more useful once i mapped it to a mouse button under my thumb. Same with dodge, ALT key is too had to hit quickly.
