Witcher 3 not displaying in UHD resolution properly
Just bought the 4k Phillips monitor, set desktop resolution to UHD but when I run the game its like it is zoomed right in... I have also edited the user.ini file and entered the 3840x2160 and it zooms right in so that all the menus are off the screen and I cant see where I am clicking. What am I doing wrong?

By the way my GPU is the R9 295x2 so more than capable of that resolution.

take it out of windowed borderless mode and put it into fullscreen.
Using a xb280hk here.. never had an issue. Sounds like an problem with how the monitor is receiving the signal.

Are you using display port? Any scaling options enabled in windows? What version of windows? Try enabling or disabling "disable display scaling on high dpi settings" in the compatibility tab of the exe file's properties window.
1st comment was correct just couldnt see it was in windowed lol. Cheers chaps :-)

had the same problem and that solved it, thanks!
The issue is because of WIndows 10 UI scaling. You can change it to 100% from 150% in Display settings or tell Witcher 3 to ignore UI scaling. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\bin\x64 and right-click witcher3.exe. Go to compatability settings Tick Override high DPI scaling behaviour.

Fix for anyone googling this in the future. 4k monitors are more and more common now. Borderless windowed is useful if you want to be able to alt tab from the game so changing to fullscreen isn't ideal.

I consider fullscreen a solution...nowadays is rather fast to Alt+Tab in fullscreen(~0.5s) and as hardware becomes better difference will be lower, we are not going to make a fuss for some milisencons difference. Just don't disregard it.
