Hybrid Oil diagram location?

I have the enhanced version diagram, but I cannot find the non-enhanced Hybrid Oil diagram.

Did a bit of a google search and found nothing, so I am hoping someone here can say where they found or bought it.

I believe I bought it from a herbalist in either Oxenfurt harbour area or Novigrad fish market/main square area, if that doesnt work try Keira or Tania?

I just recently purchased the diagram from an Alchemy supplier named Jonna in the village of Rannvaig on the Skellige Isles. Depending on how you completed "The Nithing" quest, Jonna may not be available.

I'm missing the relict oil. I have tons of others, even some enhanced and superior recipes. I even have enhanced relict oil recipe, but I can't even make the first tier of it.

Many of the recipes seem to be random spawns in chests. The chests related to witcher gear seem to have a much higher chance of containing one of the recipes. Same for bombs and decoctions.

you say you found the enhanced hybrid oil, where about's did you find that?

I eventually found them all, but not until much later in the game.

I think to some degree they may be random.

I made sure I hit every chest I could find, and I think I found most of 'em.

yea I got there in the end though still missing dracanod superior even though opened every chest and cleared every question mark :/

I'll just start a game+ and hope I find it on that play through having all the chests to open again should almost guarantee I find (fingers crossed)

Don't believe the wiki or what anyone says, observe herbalists/alchemists inventories, the manuscript/diagrams they have reset after a few in-game days, I wasted my time looking for Draconid Oil recipe locations and sellers online before I reslized merchant inventories reset and change+Chests will randomly generate diagrams/manuscripts.

There is a solid element of randomness to finding oil diagrams. I've gotten different diagrams/loot from the same chests on different playthroughs (though some do seem to always or nearly always have about the same things).

I'm pretty sure I got hybrid oil from an *unmarked* underwater chest near the Nilfguard outpost (where the quartermaster is) in White Orchard. I know I got it in White Orchard on at least one playthrough, because I was peeved that I couldn't seem to find draconid oil anywhere and I was at the point of nothing left to do in White Orchard at all (every side quest done)...except fight the big bird-lizard of doom.

It also seems to me that I *either* get beast oil or hybrid oil at some point in White Orchard...and end up having to hunt all over the world for the other one.

Don't forget that Tomira in White Orchard has a couple recipes, and the herbalist that shows up after you liberate the roadside shrine of Meletele does too (grab his asap, because he has a habit of disappearing at some point and you can't buy from him once he's gone).
