Forced borderless window mode ?

I've noticed that when I first started the game in the options menu screen mode was automatically set to borderless window. I've set it to full screen but I still noticed that Shift+Tab does not bring up my Steam profile. Achievements also don't pop up on screen when unlocked. Does this mean the game is running in borderless window mode regardless what you choose in the options?

I have the game on gog and same thing. Sometimes starts in full screen and other times borderless window. Gets annoying after a while but other settings stay the same.

maybe it happens when you go to back to windows while witcher is still active...could be that it changes because you aren´t allowed to go somewhere else while using fullscreen mode....

I can alt tab from the game and it remains full screen, but then I'll start it up and sometimes it's back to borderless window. Doesn't happen often and I cant see what causes it, seems a bit random.

maybe it is because you alt tab from witcher that it changes.....but of course that isn´t changed while you still play .... the change is made after you leave the game..... think of it like changing some things in other games... then you have to restart the game so that the new setting will be used...

Well it's maybe 1 time in 10 it starts in borderless but im always alt tabbing for forums etc

same here. made a post about it yesterday. I play borderless windowed mode often and this game i can minimize sometimes..other times i could alt-tab until my fingers bleed and nothing will happen. i set the game to play windowed or borderless and most of the time it refuses to work.. Its such a basic feature of games now..it should work flawless. Every MMO i play i can dynamically resize the game window as much as i want and it just works. They really got to fix this basic thing.

If you move your mouse or press any key while the game is launching, it'll change to borderless window.

Launch the game and don't touch your mouse or keyboard until that first screen with trademarks stuff and the game will remain in full screen. After the game is running, you can Alt + Tab how many times you want to and it will remain in full screen mode. The problem is just while launching.

Also, Steam overlay won't work in full screen mode.
