In-game music disappeared

Only happened this morning when I started the game, yesterday was fine. I get in a fight, or I'm doing some exploring, and there's no music. No music in taverns, nothing on the main menu. Verified my Steam cache, nothing. What the hell happened?

Sadly this just happened to me too. Seems we are the first to report it here on the forums. 85 hours too. Don't know what to do.

Yeah that happens to me sometime and I have to reload the game to fix it, but yours seems even worse :( a random bug maybe?

I fixed it, basically go to Skellige, play a round of Gwent with someone, then go back to Velen. Fixed it for me. Dunno why, seemed to be an issue with fast travelling perhaps.

I had a bug at some point where 2-3 tracks were playing at the same time :P. Had to reload lol.

Happens occasionally to me but it's usually just when a track ends another one doesn't start for a couple minutes. Eventually the music starts again. That's how it happens to me anyways... It would really suck to lose the music altogether.

This bug just happened to me too. I was doing the quest with the forign woman and armor nearby, I lost it around that point. Damn it, had roll back a few hours. I hope they fix it.

* UPDATE * I can conform going to skellige to play gwent where the new king was chosen fixed the issue for me.

I have the music bug too. The one I have seems to trigger after completing a quest called kings gambit, I went to a coronation under a giant oak tree and it bugged out my music. and unfortunately I have no saves from before that point.. Now there's no music anywhere except the skellige isles and even that isn't working right, as it doesn't change when in combat. I hear bands playing on the street but not in taverns. I hope this gets fixed soon. it's pretty unplayable without the epic music
