Potion Time Increase Mod/Potion Charge Increase Mod
This is just the mod I have been waiting for since release of the game:

http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/19/?tab=4&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fwitcher3%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D19%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D2883549&pUp=1

Was really looking forward to it, but for life of me I cannot get it to work(or any of the current mods for that matter).

If anyone else is interested and gets it working can you tell me what you did?

Anybody interested in this or have already used it, can you tell me how to get it working? I did everything per the readme and my game doesn't change, happens with all current TW3 "Mods".

Might want to wait until they stop updating the game like 3 times a week. Chances are the mods don't work with current version update.

Ive already checked, the ones I am trying to use are made for v1.04. Its still 1.04 right? Obviously won't have any "Official" mods until the mod tools are released, but these edits are a great alternative for now, just wish they'd work for me.

just fyi, its basically cheating and you are ruining the game for yourself, if you want to have strong postions, you are supposed to spec into alchemy.

If you cheat them long, the game gets unbalanced heavily.

Not necesarrily( I know I misspelled that), but it all depends on the players taste. Somebody can disagree with a game mechanic change and alter it to their liking in a balanced way thats not cheating.

For instance, I like to see a system implemented where you get say 10 potion charges per meditation, but to refresh them while meditating it would require all ingrediants for that potion + the alcohol, maybe even 2 bottles of alcohol. Little things like that. Otherwise the game is as amazing as I expected it would be and never had any doubts of its quality even a week before release when so many people were trying to build hype about it being ♥♥♥♥.

Would also like to see more customization in the Hotkey menu, where you remove signs you won't be using in any particlar battle and replace those slots with other potions/items, so you don't have to go into inventory to use other potions that are not slotted in the 2 hotkeys you have for potions, or even put potions in pockets or other slots in the quick menu, and maybe even put other items into the potion slots(UP & Down hotkeys) such as crossbow or torch.

Anyways I just found Superior Swallow with 5 charges and stronger regen, so I am happy. Certainly can wait for Mod kit release. Just curious why the current mods wont work for me but works for everyone else. Nobody seems to have any help regarding the matter.

That's beside the point because this mod does nothing of the sort. It just increases the number of potions and its duration when you're supposed to get those by upgrading and investing in the alchemy skills. So technically it is cheating, but since it's a single player game, who am I to say what you should and shouldn't do.

I just used the mod succesfully on v1.31 (from GOG, not Steam). Though I did not use it as instructed, I unwrapped patch.bundle using the quickbms exe provided in the mod and edited the xml file describing the potion effects to change the values to my liking. Then replaced the file in pots104bf2r folder with the edited one, ran the bat file and put the patch.bundle back into content/patch1/bundles.

Works just fine.

Modding anything that isn't visual is cheating, strictly speaking. So what? It doesn't ruin the game automatically. For example, I changed some of the potions' durations up to 10x their original value. Crazy, right? I ruined my game?! Quite the opposite really. For me the game is more fun and more immersive when I can actually prepare for a monster contract by drinking a potion before the encounter and not chugging pots in combat mid-roll like a madman. That's not how witcher potions are supposed to work per lore, and I couldn't care less about any game balance in the face of such a strong aspect of immersion. And I'm not bored because it's too easy either - for one thing, anything besides badass monsters should be too easy for a character like Geralt, and if ever I felt I wanted to have to dodge and hack at enemies longer than it currently takes, I can always bump up the difficulty.

Witchers don't need potions to fight random enemies like dogs, nekkers or humans, so I use potions for the big baddies only. Or when you expect beforehand some heavy ♥♥♥♥ to go down, like attacking Whoreson's hiedout in Oxenfurt.

tl;dr sometimes intentional imbalance can lead to a more immersive experience.
