I've heard it too. A lot of fairy tales that exist in RL exist in the WItcher-verse as well. The entire "Land of 1,000 Fables" section of B&W is proof of that. The Boy who Cried Wolf, Little Red RIding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Three Little Pigs are directly referenced, along with others.

Not W3 specific, but the Snow White story is mimicked in the first book's chapter 'The Lesser Evil' where Renfri's backstory is a much darker version of the fairy tale. For reference, this is where Geralt gets his nickname as the Butcher of Blaviken.
