NEXT GEN UPDATE NEWS
The new DLC for Witcher 3 will revolve around the Netflix series version. The Netflix version which features Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia aka The Witcher is mainly based on books but has many similarities to the games. It will not be a full on expansion like Hearts of Stone or Blood and Wine, instead it is described as extra items. So, we can expect the addition is a new skin for Geralt. This will make him resemble his Netflix actor Henry Cavill. It can also be a set of armor based on what he wears in the show. One thing which fans constantly demanded was for CD Projekt Red to add the song “Toss A Coin to Your Witcher” to Witcher 3. So, there’s a possibility that the DLC includes your favorite song from your favorite bard.

- here are the contents of the next gen upgrade:
- The complete main story
- Hearts of Stone Expansion
- Blood and Wine Expansion
- Alternate looks for Yeneffer, Ciri, and Gwent card packs and all 16 DLC released in 2015
- All Other Patches
- Netflix Inspired New DLC

So no bug fixes. That means I can pretty much ignore this release because that was all I hoped for.

I was expecting updated graphics, improved textures and what not. If it's just some new skins, thats pretty disappointing.

Dec 3 damn, I been putting Witcher 3 on hold till this next gen update. It is hard to wait. But I've waited so long, do you think save games will be compatible?
They should be in theory, unless there will be some overhauls.

I'd bet all my money that the upgrade will either be a standalone title on Steam or an optional DLC.

This sounds Netflix sponsored update. I saw the first season of the Netflix series and in my humble opinion, its only redeeming features are Henry Cavill who is stellar, and special effects, the rest of (well most of) the cast are weak actors. Personally, I do not rate the Netflix series highly, and will skip this update's contents. I sure hope these looks and graphical changes are optional.

Jesus Christ
There's no f Henry Cavil skin, only his armor. It has been mentioned so many times
Also, why didn't you include graphical update in the list?

Well it's either that or it's a non-optional update that can be disabled in game, because otherwise they'd be foisting higher system requirements on tens of thousands of souls that still play The Witcher 3, which would be a profoundly dumb thing to do, and the last thing the developers need is yet more bad publicity.

They will likely be in some chest or something like that.
