Griffin Armor set = OP
Few things to why its the best and most versatile, compared to the other sets:

1.Its a medium armor meaning it will give you more protection than light armor and you won't suffer reduced stamina regeneration compared to the heavy armor.

2.The sign intensity bonus! Even if you don't want to invest in signs(like me lol), all signs will be improved by wearing this armor, meaning bigger chance for aard to knock down, more Igni damage, Quen gets more shield etc

3.The medium armor general skill aka Griffin School Techniques, "Each piece of medium armor increases your Sign intensity by 5% and Endurance regeneration by 5%." Meaning even more increased sign bonuses and crazy fast stamina regeneration, i am able to cast signs every 3-4 sec lol, who needs a heavy armor when you can have quen on you most of the time :)

Or just use the cat armor and one button slash through everything.

Except when you get ganked on and raped due to the lower armor values , no sign bonus and slower stamina regeneration.

I spend my points in signs and its really insane with this armor set. My sings are nearly at 150% and my stamina is ready in 2-3 seconds. I am only level 12 but this blows xD Ignis alternative mode is tooooo strong against groups. You can just burn them away with one single bar of stamina.

Thanks m8!
Considering iam lvl 37 atm and start to find gear thats better than the ursine set (i currently wear) i dont think the griffin one will be good for a long time either , the only reason why i keep the chest piece of the ursine is 45% resistance to monster attacks, but i find light armor that already has more armor + bonus xp or elemental resistance, the silver sword is ok but the steel swords i find are better aswell.

Well with the Griffin armor you don't need sign bonuses and yet you have tons of intensity plus higher protection and higher stamina, i think its a nice tradeoff, since with the cat you loose only melee damage wich if you got good swords and traits like me put in the dmg and crit chances you won't really need that

IT's all about finding your playstyle.

I use the Bear armor simply because I think it looks the best. The mastercrafted version is one of my favorite looking armors I have had in a game.

The Griffin armor on the other hand makes Geralt look like he has had 50 too many pies.

Yeah :( that is true, i think the looks should have been reversed, not that it bothered me that much since you rare stating at his back 90% of the time but still

You guys realise ofc, that sets include two swords as well. And that you can level up your gear to lvl 3 ( starting with zero). And each time it looks better :)

I prefer the feline armor, stack those crit bonuses and do disgusting amounts of damage all day.
Unfortunately, all of the armors look really ugly when you hit Mastercrafted level, all of the pointless exposed chainmail and studs, it starts to feel a bit too "leather daddy" to be fashion.

I'm playing on Death March with the enhanced Feline set with no points in quen and it's working very well.
