Meteorite ore? Seriously, where is it?

What gives? I've looked everywhere and I cant find any. The only answers i've gotten are "oh you'll find some" or "what you aren't stealing stuff?" give me a real answer.

Update: Found some in the ship wreckage after I arrived on skellige.

It is a tricky one this yes. I have lots but then I have been looting lots of peasants houses. But I agree it is strange that peasants of all people should have the most of this stuff. Seeing as it is pretty high level stuff. And not, you know, the blacksmiths.

Loot everything in this damn game! I find more rare ♥♥♥♥ in barrels and crates than I do in treasure chests. Which I can't really complain, I wouldn't loot barrels and crates and dead nobodies otherwise.

should have merchants that sell this stuff, im sitting on 5000 gold, and no need to really spend it because noone seems to sell this stuff.

Dismantle swords that you don't want or armors most of the silver sword has them.

I remember I found some doing the witcher contract "Killing the swamp thing"
There were crates in the swamps you need to investigate.

OP has spent nearly the last 3 years wandering aimlessly through The Witcher 3 trying to find meteorite. His family and friends only know he’s alive because he repeats a mantra of “I. Have. To. Find. The. Meteorite.” over and over again.

Hattori in novigrad dells it, assuming you have completred his quest line. I think the other armorer in novigrad had some too. looting mages when you can is good, I found loads of it that way.
