GWENT: Scorch card sometimes only destroys my own cards instead of the opponents
The way the Scorch card seems to work what i found is that it destroys all the cards on both sides of the field based on the strength of card you select.

So for instance i pick a strength 7 card on the opponent field and if he has multiple strength 7 cards then those will all get destroyed including any strength 7 cards i have on my field.

At least that is what is suppose to happen from the way i have been using the card.

However on multiple occasions it has happened that when i played a Scorch card on let's say a strength 4 card on the opponent field, even though i have no strength 4 cards on my field it somehow does not touch any of his cards but destroys a complete row of cards on my side.

Is this some sort of defense ability the enemy has or does my game just bug out?

P.S:

I did seem to be having issues with a controller while the mouse is still plugged in and playing GWENT as it kept locking up the cards and wouldn't let me select them sometimes.

However the Scorch card still plays like that even if the mouse is unplugged.

Edit: Thanks for the responses figured it out now

No its working as intended. Read the description of the card "destroys highest valued cards on the battlefield." That doesn't mean your enemy neccesarily. So excluding hero cards, if the highest valued card is 7, then "all" 7 cards will get destroyed regardless of player. The horn also gets included in this btw.

Scorch just finds the strongest card on the battlefield and destroys it. If there are several cards that have the same power lets say 8, while every other card is 5 or 4, every card that is 8 will be scorched no matter if its yours or your enemie's. Hero cards are not affected.

Scorch takes the highest card off the table. So if you have three tens that are not hero cards and the opponent has three eights your tens come off the board because they are highest cards.

Alright figured it out now, thanks guys i just got a bit confused as to why it kept happening since you are able to freely select a card, seems that is just a placebo effect then.
