Prepare a potion using drowner pheromones?
How exactly do I do this? I'm currently stuck on the Muire D'yaeblen witcher contract due to this stage of the quest..

Bump.

Would like to know this too.
You go to alchemy , search the tab "quests" and craft it, if you had the recipe beforehand you might have crafted it look under your "questitem" tab in your inventory then.

I don't have the recipe in my alchemy tab, though. It is not appearing under quests like the Chort lure did.

Hmm, i walked in that Cave without the Contract simply by exploring, then after reaching the spot where the Monster is, he said something like "those bastards have a good nose, they won't appear while i'm here" and then "hmm, she lives here with drowner's ... perhaps i should try smelling like them" and then boom i got suddenly got that Recipe added and done it, killed it... I picked that Contract only later to finish the Quest and get the Reward... So perhaps this only triggers if you go there and not by picking the Contract.

i took the contract first, had the potion already brewed and simply went to inventory, questitem and then put it into a quickslot.

U get the recipe as soons as they ask u to use it. U don't need to craft it.

Yeah, i also equipped it too of course, but it appeared in that Cave after the mentioned thing he said... Also i don't if that triggers by picking the Contract or only if you visit that Spot in the Cave, because i walked there without Contract and exploring that Cave, but worked perfectly... ;)

Also yeah, possible that you not even get the Recipe but the Potion directly, so you simply need to search that Potion and equip it, don't remember if i brewed it or Potion was added automatically...

Look for a light blue think flask in your inventory, should be two doses. It was made from an earlier recipe.

I just started to do this contract and I was looking at my alchemy wondering why there was nothing under quest, etc. But then after Animal AI's comment about Light Blue flask, I spotted it in my inventory and immediately realised it was a normal recipe that you can find in the world to scare away drowners and stop them from attacking you. :steamhappy:

1. Go to inventory.
2. Go to the Potions.
3. Scroll for the Light Blue flask that has the Yellow Font, that says "Drowner Pheromones." Description: Drowners will not attack the Witcher.
4. Use it. It has 2 charges.

Follow my instructions IF you rarely or never collect plants/herbs

Note: both the recipe and the potion do not automatically spawn on your alchemy list nor potion tab (making you confuse big time)

1. Collect the ingredients around the cave (2 types of mushrooms + drowner brain + dwarven spirit)

2. After you got all the ingredients required to make the potion, voila; the potion recipe will automatically appear on your alchemy list (potions).

3. Double click the recipe and equip the potion, and you know the rest...

OKAY!.... one big thing that everyone missed here that might help some of you. You have to have your Filters for Alchemy turned on, to see the recipe for this potion.

So my problem was In flurry of crafting I had already made the phenomenon potion check your inventory. Lol!! 😂 I’dd bought the recipe and then crafted it along with some other much needed potions 🧪 upgrades such as enhanced and superior swallow. Didn’t know why I could not craft it so I ran out it cave and killed a bunch of drowners hoping this would work no luck returned it o the cave remembered I had been crafting recently and finally, found it in my potion inventory. Sometimes it does not pay off to be prepared.

Discovered the cave first, got the message about trying to smell like them, but did NOT get the potion in my inventory and do not have a recipe.
Went back to the cave, but can't get the message to come up again.

Double checked, have ample supply of all the required ingredients.

Further research online said that it was for sale at the Herbalist shop in Kaer Trolde Harbor. Went there, but it is not for sale.
