RED MOON weather icon! What does it mean/do?

So I dont know if any of you have seen it but there is a Red moon icon that only just appeared as I finished a story quest... the moon itself is not red however the weather icon is... what does this mean???? O.o


Here is a picture that shows the icon and the actual moon (1/4 moon, not red)

I've seen/had the same thing but could not tell you what it meant. I don't recall what lead to it appearing on my bar either. I never saw anything special pop up during it.

Means Yen is on cycle. No shagging this evening. Go kill some monsters to lower your level of testosteron.

Means Yen is on cycle. No shagging this evening. Go kill some monsters to lower your level of testosteron.

You are not a vampire - remember this. She is also too ♥♥♥♥♥♥ (if possible) when on cycle. Try not to approach. I think Triss aint on cycle when Yen is (they do not synchro). So if no monsters available try Triss.

I have this weather icon also, I saw in the screenshot you were doing the quest about Whoreson Junior, and I noticed this icon after this quest too

I guess i dont spoil now in 2019? Anyways, it appears when fighting the wild hunt at kaer morhen and (probably due to an oversight) when leaving juniors mansion at night after you killed him. It doesnt mean anything really, it was just meant as a weather icon to have during the battle of kaer morhen.

Interesting replies. To me it appeared when I told the blood baron the fate of her doughter. I didn't see her wife yet. So I'm nowhere near to Kaer Morhen and didn't visit Novigrad yet.

I know it's been a while but I just wanted to +1 this. Just talked to the baron after visiting Tamira in Novigrad. Haven't started the witch quest line yet.
